Members of the Dunmurry Crochet Club recently came together to celebrate a very special milestone as the group marked its 10th anniversary with a celebratory dinner.
Hosted at James Brown & Sons Funeral Home in Dunmurry, the club has provided a welcoming space for local people to meet, learn new skills, share experiences and build lasting friendships over the past decade.
Sixteen members attended the anniversary dinner, where they reflected on ten years of creativity, companionship and community spirit. The group expressed their sincere appreciation for the generous contribution towards the meal, which helped make the evening a memorable celebration of everything the club has achieved together.
The anniversary follows another meaningful contribution from the group, which recently donated 10 handmade twiddle muffs to Meadowlands 2 at Musgrave Park Hospital. Twiddle muffs provide comfort and sensory stimulation for people living with dementia and other cognitive conditions.
Senior Funeral Director Terry Weir and Crochet Club member Helen Walsh presented the twiddle muffs to hospital staff on behalf of the club, helping continue the group’s long-standing commitment to supporting the local community.
Over the past ten years, the Dunmurry Crochet Club has become much more than a crafting group. It has created friendships, offered support and made a positive difference to countless people both within the club and across the wider community.
James Brown & Sons would like to congratulate all members on this fantastic milestone and thank them for their continued dedication, generosity and community spirit.
