Community Activities
In advance of big green week Funeral Arranger Claire McIlroy met with Áine Gilchrist – Garden Manager, at Monkstown Village Initiatives – Community Garden.
The community garden includes two polytunnels with a number of raised flower beds, providing residents & users with opportunities to participate in a variety of gardening-related activities; & a sensory garden to enliven the senses, providing a natural space to unwind & relax.
A welcome is extended to everyone to use the community garden where it offers opportunities for learning new skills in addition to volunteering and socialising.
The garden can be visited and enjoyed anytime between 9.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Saturday.
