Supporting Local Families for a Second Year Through ROC’s School Uniform Project

Beverley Brown, James Brown & Sons and Keeva Watson, ROC Northern Ireland

We are proud to continue our support of ROC Northern Ireland and its School Uniform Project, helping local families across Northern Ireland prepare for the new school year.

Last year, funding from the James Brown & Sons Community Fund helped ROC provide school stationery packs and essential uniform items to children and families in the Glengormley area. The project was designed to ease the financial burden of back-to-school costs, ensuring children had access to the supplies and clothing they needed to start the school year with confidence.

This year, we were delighted to provide further support through the donation of stationery packs. The impact has been immediate, with all the packs distributed through ROC’s recent school uniform pop-up events in Ballybeen. Across the two events, more than 160 children received school uniforms and other essential back-to-school items.

The School Uniform Project continues to make a real difference for families facing financial pressures, while also bringing communities together through volunteering, donations and practical support.

A huge thank you to Keeva Watson and the entire ROC Northern Ireland team for the incredible work they do year after year to support local families and ensure children can start the school term with the essentials they need to learn, grow and thrive.
